For nearly a quarter of a century, this building has experienced the glory of its heyday, the decline of bankruptcy, and an unexpected revival thanks to passionate individuals who refused to let the café die. Gérard van Bruaene, a gallerist and colorful personality, infused the place with the special spirit that still reigns there today. La Fleur en Papier Doré was even a haven for surrealists – including Magritte – as well as for many of Brussels' artists, writers, and poets.

Classified as a heritage site since 1997, the café still welcomes a diverse crowd of regulars, party-goers, and lovers of art and conviviality. It is in this historically and culturally rich venue that the current owners, organized as a cooperative, offer to host your guests.

By privatizing La Fleur en Papier Doré, you get to enjoy an authentic Brussels bar with its dark wood counter and large glass atrium at the back. A small terrace at the front and a courtyard at the rear add a pleasant touch to the overall experience. The venue can accommodate 78 guests for a family or business meal, and up to 200 people for an aperitif, dinner cocktail, birthday party, or even a private concert!
