Located in Rue de Brabant, a stone's throw from the Sambre, the Atelier de la Manufacture Urbaine is one of the symbols of Charleroi's renewal. Also known as the MU, it is the result of an innovative urban project around the theme of the third industrial revolution.

Originally, the building was a printing establishment, then it housed the collections of the city's media library. In order to revitalise the micro-economy and highlight local know-how, the initiators have chosen to breathe new life into the MU by renovating the 450 m² of this former industrial structure. Today, you will find a bar, a brewery, a restaurant, a bakery, a workshop and a grocery store, all in a modern, stylish and hyper trendy setting.
