La Grange

Perched on a rocky outcrop rising 60 metres above the Hoyoux valley, Château de Modave is an exceptional venue. Its prestigious yet wild surroundings, nestled in the heart of a 450-hectare nature reserve, give it a unique atmosphere. The buildings, dating back to the 17th century, are listed as Exceptional Walloon Immovable Heritage.

Château de Modave welcomes both professional and private events. The estate has two reception rooms, accommodating between 50 and 1,200 guests depending on the type of event. These characterful spaces are equally suited to a wedding or family celebration as to a seminar or presentation evening. Each room has full audiovisual equipment and Wi-Fi. The bar and kitchen, furniture and tableware are also available.

Château de Modave provides a carefully selected list of caterers, including the renowned Paulus catering company, which has been specialising in gastronomy for over 30 years. You can also choose your own caterer.

The Furstenberg room, located in the former stables of Château de Modave, offers excellent acoustics. With its 255 m² elongated layout, it is ideal for cultural events, as well as private or professional evenings. The room has two entrances, allowing for different layouts and great flexibility. The glass door opens onto a spacious entrance area, perfect for creating a reception zone. Furstenberg can accommodate a banquet for 220 guests or a theatre-style conference for up to 400 participants. The high stone walls, abundant natural light and exposed wooden framework give the space an authentic charm.

La Grange is an enormous 365 m² space, whose impressive ceiling height creates a truly grand atmosphere. It also features intimate alcoves, perfect for enjoying a quiet moment without leaving the venue. La Grange is complemented by a small adjoining room, Le Moulin, which is ideal for setting up a bar or buffet, creating a lounge area or a children's play area. La Grange can accommodate a seated dinner for 250 people, a cocktail reception or a dancing party for up to 1,200 guests. It can also be combined with the Furstenberg room, which can be reached simply by crossing the courtyard.

It is possible to accommodate up to 46 people on site, in a 4-star holiday accommodation with 22 rooms. This former exceptional hotel occupies a wing of the château, is tastefully furnished and offers all modern comforts. The terrace and 400 m² garden are also available.
